Dream cars for under £50,000
Who doesn’t love to dream? That’s particularly the case with cars, with all manner of makes and models often entering our dream garage scenario.
But can you get a dream car on a budget? We’ll admit, £50,000 is a lot of money, but it’s a more attainable amount than the hundreds of thousands of pounds that usually accompany a dream car. Let’s see what you can get for the money.
When it comes to useable, reliable and easy-to-drive supercars, the R8 sits at the top of the pile. It broke the mould when it came to supercars, in fact, simply because you could use it day in, day out.
Today, you’ll be able to get a first-generation R8 for well under our £50,000 budget, and it’ll come with an exceptional 5.2-litre V10. You can even have it with a manual gearbox.
Bentley Continental GT
Bentley’s luxurious Continental makes for a very strong used car purchase. It’s packed with performance, and you’ll be able to nab a clean, relatively low mileage early example at this price point.
There’s also the choice of either coupe or drop-top layouts too, meaning there’s a Continental for everyone.
One of the most recognisable names in the business, the Porsche 911 is a car you’ll be able to enjoy each and every day. It’s just as well-versed at doing the weekly shopping run as it is hammering down country roads.
For this price point, you’ll be looking at a 991-generation car, which is arguably one of the best.
Aston Martin DB9
The DB9 toes a similar line to the Bentley GT; it’s very powerful yet seriously impressive over long distances. A punchy V12 engine resides under the bonnet, while the interior is finished to a high standard, which is just what we’ve come to expect from modern Aston Martin cars.
The DB9 is a truly exceptional used car, too. Ensure you’ve got one with a comprehensive servicing history and it should provide an excellent - and exciting - way of getting around.
That’s right, you can get the keys to a prancing horse for under £50,000. The 360 has been one of the firm’s most popular models, and like others on this list it’s available as either coupe or drop-top, it’s available in either coupe or convertible layouts.
It’s even more important with Ferrari cars - which are notoriously fragile and suffer when undermaintained - to ensure that they’ve had a long history of being serviced and maintained.
Some of these may still be out of your budget, but don't worry, we have a car for all needs. Check through what we have on stock here.
