Porsche adds GTS models to Cayenne line-up
Porsche has introduced a new GTS model to its Cayenne SUV.
Designed to sit in between the standard ‘S’ configuration and the range-topping Turbo, the GTS has been a consistent feature in the Cayenne line-up for some time now. It’s now available for both standard SUV and Coupe variants, too.
With prices starting from £85,930, the GTS pack brings suspension revisions to enable the Cayenne to corner even more confidently. The car’s ride height has been dropped by 20mm over the standard Cayenne, while Porsche also includes its Active Suspension Management System as part of the package.
Active torque vectoring can apply brake pressure to individual wheels to help with cornering even further. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
It’s powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 454bhp and 620Nm, replacing the 3.6-litre V6 found in the GTS’ predecessor. The change means there’s now 20bhp more available, as well as 20Nm in additional torque.
Porsche claims that the GTS will achieve the 0-60mph sprint in under 4.5 seconds when fitted with the optional Sport Chrono pack, and it’ll top out at 173mph too.The new GTS is available to order now, and Porsche expects it to arrive in dealerships in July.
