Imperial Cars has won top honours at the Used Car Awards 2019, driving away with the gong for Used Car Supermarket of the Year for a second time.
The annual ceremony, now in its eighth year, was hosted at The Brewery in London by Car Dealer Magazine on Monday night (November 25). It’s not the first time that Imperial Cars has won the title at the trade publication’s prestigious event either, as it also scooped the trophy in 2017.
In 2019, Imperial Cars has continued its expansion with a new car preparation centre opening in Bristol and its latest car showroom in Wembley, taking its total number of sites to 17.
Operations director Neil Smith, who collected the award, said: “It’s fantastic to win the Used Car Supermarket of the Year Award again. The whole team has worked incredibly hard this year as we’ve continued to expand in what’s been a very challenging market.
“We’ve built great teams across our sites who always put the customer first, and it’s great to see it’s paid off.”
The judges said they were looking for fast and helpful responses to their inquiries and great service when buying a car. Imperial Cars excelled in all areas of the mystery shopping and really impressed.
Founder of Car Dealer Magazine James Baggott commented: “It might seem as though I’m stating the obvious but reliability and trustworthiness need to be top of the list when it comes to the qualities of a used car dealer.
“Imperial Cars have impeccable credentials here and that has helped them lift the title of Used Car Supermarket of the Year. They are firm believers that quality and customer service should never be sacrificed for the sake of a quick sale and it’s an approach that makes them lots of friends. Very well done to all concerned.”
