Neil will be joining the Auto Trader team to cycle the 200 miles between London’s King’s Cross office to Central Manchester over the course of 3 days from May 16th to 18th. That’s a gruelling 85 miles per day, with a couple of very steep climbs thrown in for good measure!Neil who has had to go out and buy a bike to take part in the challenge, has begun training in earnest and says he’s really looking forward to the challenge and being in the Auto Trader bike riding team, though he adds “It’s not going to be easy…. I’m not looking forward to the pain!” Watch an interview with Neil here:
The aim is to raise funds to help Kallie, a little girl who has congenital heart disease and cerebral palsy. Kallie’s dream is to walk and play like her friends at school. Doctors at Great Ormond Street hospital have told the family that they believe Kallie would benefit from life changing ‘selective dorsal rhizotomy’ surgery, which could alleviate her muscle stiffness and enable her to move more freely.
It is this potentially life changing operation which the charity cycle ride is raising money for. If you would like to support Kallie and help Neil’s fundraising efforts for Kallie’s life changing operation, please visit the just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/RideforKallieThe whole of the Imperial Cars team wish Neil and all who are taking part in the cycle ride the very best of luck!
