Bangers4BEN Charity Event

The Imperial Car Supermarkets' Directors (Batman & Robin) take part in Bangers4BEN raising money for BEN MOT. Bangers4BEN is a four day event starting at Porsche’s headquarters in Reading on Saturday, October 12th, with the final destination being the Porsche museum in Stuttgart, Germany! This year sees the 50th anniversary of the legendary Porsche 911, and Porsche have kindly got on board to help out this year ensuring it will be a great trip for a fantastic cause.

Once the rally has ended, the ‘Bangers’ will be sold at a special auction at Aston Barclay with all the proceeds going to BEN to continue helping the automotive industry colleagues. You can help us raise money by going to www.justgiving.com/imperialcarsupermarket

Overall Winner – This is the team that raises the most money from the auction sale of their car after the purchase price has been deducted.

Best themed car/fancy dress – Fancy dress is mandatory on the first day, but we’ll leave you to be creative when theming your car!

Largest Fundraiser – Although this is not compulsory, some teams choose to raise additional money for BEN through sponsorship – so this award will be in recognition of this additional support.

The Four Day Schedule…
Day one, October 12
The teams will meet at Porsche GB`s HQ in Reading before heading to Dover to catch the Eurotunnel. We’ll then be heading down to Maastricht in the Netherlands for the first of our overnight stops. It’s around a five-and-a-half-hour journey covering 340 miles.

Day two, October 13
We’ll make the 280-mile schlep to Stuttgart where in the afternoon we’ll have a tour of the Porsche Museum. The city will also be our home for that night.

Day three, October 14
The next day sees us head north to the fearsome Nurburgring 200 miles away. We expect to be at the ring around 2pm where we’ll have the chance to have an official passenger ride of the ring. We’ll spend the night in Nurburg with the traditional award ceremony.

Day four, October 15
We head home to Blighty.

Check out some of the photos from our trip so far!
